Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Honored with Two Awards
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina recently announced that it received two awards from the Maryland Hotel and Lodging Association.
The four-diamond resort was given the Prism Award, which recognizes diversity, for the fifth year in a row; as well as the Special Event Award, according to a Hyatt news release.
“Our team continues to strengthen the resort’s diversity programs through new partnerships within the community. We’re proud that these efforts are consistently recognized and we’re honored to work with these excellent local organizations,” said Ted Kanatas, general manager of Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, in a prepared statement.
Last year the resort formed new partnerships with Chesapeake College’s ACE Culinary Class, Benedictine’s Training Program, Preston’s March, and the Board of Education of Dorchester County, according to the news release.
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay’s Special Event Award is in honor of Paint the Month of October Pink, which raised awareness and funds to support local breast cancer chemotherapy patients. The resort’s Chesa Ladies group put together a month of inspired pink activities and events in October, which raised over $3,000.
